“I have always enjoyed helping people. Allergy Clearing gives me a different approach to helping people and giving people hope!” Melody Sider grew up in Quebec, and moved to PEI to get her BSC at UPEI. After graduating she was married to Dr. Mike Sider and spent more than a decade at home raising her and Dr. Sider’s 3 beautiful children. By the time their oldest daughter, who is extremely sensitive in every way, reached her mid teens, she was struggling with some health issues. They discovered that she had food sensitivities. With testing they learned which foods were problematic, and began the work of eliminating them from her diet. As they did so, she began to get some relief. In time she felt quite good until something else would pop up and become a problem for her, so then she would eliminate this too.
As thankful as they were that she was feeling better, they began to worry about her future of living in avoidance and fear of foods that would make her feel sick. In their search to help her, they came across a technique called allergy clearing. This technique worked well and it was wonderful to see their daughter start to get some freedom back in her health. At this time, Melody decided to go back to school and get her Naturopathic Certification so that she could use this technique to help others.

“Giving patients hope and relieving their pain brightens my day and gives me purpose! It brings me joy!”
Dr. Sider grew up in a family that visited a chiropractor on a regular basis. He had his first treatment at the age of 4 when he fell down the stairs and began to develop nose bleeds that his medical doctor was not able to help him with. Fortunately, the chiropractic treatments quickly resolved his condition.
Dr. Sider moved to Charlottetown with his family when he was 14 years old. He quickly fell in love with the Island and decided to make it his home. He graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1995.
Dr. Sider sees himself as a life-long learner who is driven by his desire to help his patients improve their lives by decreasing their pain, and increasing their ability to move and participate in the activities that bring them happiness.
A treatment by Dr. Sider is always focused on reducing pain and inflammation as well as improving the patient’s movement and function. Treatments are tailored to the patient’s condition, mobility and comfort level. Dr. Sider uses a wide variety of techniques and modalities including soft tissue therapy, joint mobilizations/manipulations, low force techniques (Activator and Matrix Repatterning) as well as laser (low level light) therapy.
Dr. Sider became a Certified Matrix Repatterning Practitioner in 2021 and enjoys helping patients, who have sustained an extra amount of trauma to their bones and joints, to obtain a new level of relief that he was unable to achieve with regular chiropractic treatments.

It is never too early or too late to start prioritizing your health (and taking care of yourself should be fun!!)
Dr. Kaitlyn Trainor was born and raised in Charlottetown and graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2020.
Early in practice, she noticed a gap in care when it came to babies and new parents. This sparked her to take numerous courses to further her education on the treatment of infants and children.
Word of mouth spread quickly and she has developed a reputation as the go-to person for all things baby-related. Parents often bring babies in for latch issues, plagiocephaly, torticollis, gas/colic, constipation, and post-tongue tie revision rehabilitation.
Dr. Trainor is certified in the Webster’s technique for pregnant women. This specific assessment and treatment is focused on balancing the joints, muscles and ligaments. The goal is not only to improve mom’s comfort, but also balance the pelvis and ligaments so baby has the best chance to get into proper position for delivery.
Treatments with Dr. Trainor are always tailored to patients’ individual condition, preferences and comfort level. This may include joint manipulation/mobilization, soft tissue therapy, photobiomodulation (low level laser therapy), functional acupuncture and hopefully some laughter, too.
When it comes to infants and kids, treatments look very different. The hands-on treatment involves light pressure to various points of tension (no crazy or quick movements with the little ones!) with lots of explanation and parent education.
